Partnerships

At Legacy Bible Institute, we believe in the power of partnership to equip students for both spiritual growth and real-world ministry. By collaborating with churches, ministries, and organizations, we provide hands-on opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Our partnerships with Upward Bound Youth (UBY), the Apostolic Christian Church Foundation (ACCF), and O’Huddle offer leadership training, ministry experience, and the opportunity for students to put their faith into action within the community. Through Fieldstone Counseling and Emerge Counseling Ministries, we ensure students have access to biblical counseling support. Most importantly, we strive to maintain a strong connection with each student’s local church, ensuring they remain rooted in their spiritual home both during and after Legacy. Through these partnerships, we prepare students for a lifetime of faithful service and Gospel impact.

Upward Bound Youth

Legacy Bible Institute operates as a ministry of Upward Bound Youth (UBY), which provides exciting avenues for students to grow in both faith and practical ministry. As part of their training, Legacy students actively participate in UBY’s weekly youth nights, gaining hands-on experience in discipleship, leadership, and outreach while putting their faith into action. Additionally, graduates considering a ministry-related vocation are encouraged to apply for UBY’s Aim for Ministry Mentoring Program (AMMP)—a program that combines financial scholarships with regular mentoring to equip and support those pursuing kingdom work.

ACCF

Upward Bound Youth, Legacy’s parent organization, continues to partner closely with the Domestic Actions and Projects (DAP) Committee of the Apostolic Christian Church Foundation (ACCF), under which Legacy was originally founded. Though oversight has transferred to Upward Bound Youth (UBY), a number of UBY staff still serve on the DAP committee, and UBY remains an ACCF-affiliated ministry. This partnership allows for ongoing collaboration, with UBY staff supporting DAP’s Youth Choir ministry and with many Apostolic Christian youth participating in Legacy. Additionally, Legacy alumni often join the ACC Youth Choir as a ministry and mission opportunity, and each fall, Legacy hosts DAP’s REV3 evangelism training intensive to equip students for Gospel outreach.

OHuddle

Legacy Bible Institute partners with O’Huddle, a mentorship organization dedicated to empowering local students through one-on-one guidance and support. As part of their praxis learning, Legacy students receive training and serve as mentors in various public schools in Wooster and Wayne County, providing Christlike encouragement to young people in need. This partnership allows students to apply their biblical training in a real-world setting, growing in leadership, compassion, and service while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Fieldstone Counseling and Emerge Counseling Ministries

To fully support our students in their spiritual and personal growth, Legacy Bible Institute partners with Fieldstone Counseling and Emerge Counseling Ministries. Recognizing the complex and difficult life issues many young people face, we offer access to professional counseling as a complement to our one-on-one mentoring program. These partnerships ensure that students receive biblically grounded, compassionate care as they navigate challenges and grow in their faith.

The Local Church.

At Legacy Bible Institute, we value a strong partnership with each student’s local church, recognizing the vital role of the church in their ongoing spiritual growth. This connection allows for our local students (from Wayne County and the NE Ohio area) who have their own transportation to stay actively involved in their local church, while also helping facilitate a smooth coordination of spiritual care—allowing us to better support the student during their time at Legacy while ensuring their home shepherd is informed about their growth and spiritual journey. Our goal is for students to reintegrate into their local churches equipped and strengthened for faithful service.

For students who do not have the option of driving back to their home church on a weekly basis, we require them to get actively plugged into any one of the Bible-believing, gospel-centered churches in the Wooster area that our UBY employees are active members of.
